About KAi

Kai is in love with the feelings elicited by liminal spaces and how they can create simultaneous feelings of loneliness and fulfillment. To him, reactions to liminal spaces speak to the fragility of memory and how an intimately familiar space can suddenly become foreign with a slight shift in the environment. He works to replicate these feelings in 3D spaces using unlit textures, gradients, low poly models, and just the right amount of noise.

Kai Jacobs is a Chinese-Canadian illustrator and 3D artist based in Ontario. He graduated from McMaster University with a BFA, and is interested in procedural mesh generation in Blender and Unreal Engine, non-photorealistic rendering, and sculpting.

He is familiar with 3D modeling (high and low poly), rigging, sculpting, animation, asset implementation in Unreal Engine, Unity, and Godot, and has experience with coding in Python, GDScript and C++.
